TIME, New York Times, and Harper Collins Chair Industry’s First Closed-Door Digital Publishing Summit

For the first time, all three publishing sectors- Books, Magazines, and Newspapers- will come together at one meeting to participate in afternoon working groups led by Carolyn Pittis, SVP, Global Author Services, Harper Collins Digital, Josh Quittner, Editor, TIME Magazine, and Brad Stone, Writer, Internet Trends & Consumer Technology, New York Times respectively. Working group discussions focus on taking control of how new technology and mobility can re-set business strategy and monetize e-publishing.

Event organizers, IIR, say the meeting fills a crucial need in the market for a closed-door, invitation only meeting, to ensure the highest level of strategic outcomes. Key speakers include Tom Turvey, Director, Strategic Partnerships, Google, Raj Murari, SVP & CFO, Disney Publishing Worldwide, Terry McDonell, Editor, Sports Illustrated/SI Tablet, Caroline Little, CEO, Guardian, Ellie Hirschhorn, SVP & Chief Digital Officer, Simon & Schuster, Lincoln Millstein, SVP, Digital Media, Hearst Newspapers, and Bruce Upbin, Managing Editor, Forbes.

Publishers will be joined by event sponsors including Adobe, HP, Marvel, Sony, and Qualcomm, all of whom will be presenting at the Summit.
