Kodak i1405 Scanner Helps Small-to-Medium Sized Businesses Focus on Increasing Organizational Efficiency

Kodak has launched of the new KODAK i1405 Scanner which delivers new levels of productivity for small-to-medium sized businesses (SMBs) digitizing volumes of paper documents and records. The compact i1405 desktop model offers a versatile range of capture capabilities, and helps SMBs focus on increasing productivity to improve critical business processes. The i1405 Scanner processes up to 150 pages in one batch and support document sizes from business cards up to A3 and is designed as a successor to the i100 Series Scanners.

With the transition towards digital workflow, many SMBs are looking for ways to increase their overall organisational efficiency. The i1405 provides users with a flexible, reliable document capture platform for managing critical records like HR forms, auditing records, and legal documents. The i1405 Scanner can process up to 9,000 pages per day or 45 ppm at 200 dpi (with optical resolutions of up to 600 dpi possible). Flexible paper handling capabilities include support for small plastic cards, delicate onionskin paper and lengthy, non-conventional print-outs. The ultrasonic 3D multi-feed detection adds extra security, and stops the scanner reliably when sticky documents can’t be separated.

Users that need to share and manage their essential information across multiple locations can benefit from the one-click output destination and image-enhancing features of the i1405. Kodak’s Smart Touch technology feature helps users easily scan to email, file and upload images to Microsoft SharePoint or other desktop locations. The i1405 Scanner features a plug & play USB 2.0 interface.

Accuracy of data in scanned images, another important component of business process management, is achieved through the image-enhancement capabilities of the i1405. The scanner supports Kodak’s Perfect Page Technology, which effectively streamlines the smoothing, accuracy and detection of color. The i1405 also comes bundled with KODAK Capture Desktop software, TWAIN, ISIS, SANE, and Windows Imaging Architecture drivers.

The introduction of the KODAK i1405 Scanner, at a list price of €3,490 strengthens the entry-level offering of the award-winning KODAK i1400 Series Scanners. For more information on the KODAK i1405 Scanner, visit www.kodak.com/go/i1400
