Your Challenge:
The Television Technician ensures the live coverage, recording and verification monitoring of Chamber meetings being recorded in the DAMS System (Digital Asset Management System) as well as the analog system. He or she also ensures the live coverage, the distribution and recording of parliamentary press conferences, House committees and special events.
The Television Technician manages, co-ordinates, sets-up and ensures prompt delivery of all requests for duplication and demand video. Clients include the Speaker’s office, Members of Parliament, Senators, Parliamentary Precinct clients, other Governments departments, national media, educational institutions and the general public. He or she creates edits, proofreads and publishes all Parliamentary Television Network slides. He or she ensures proper Library cataloguing and maintenance of all the House Proceedings, House committees and the National Archives press tapes.
