Star Trek is a religion, neither more nor less, for fans of science fiction and have been so for over 40 years. On May 6, an eleventh film about Gene Roddenberry’s space adventures was brought to the screen. Unlike the other ten, it takes place before the original series. Captain James T. Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto) and all the others found themselves in a very polished production who had a very high risk of displeasing purists.
Paramount Digital Entertainment, Bad Robot Interactive, CBS and Naked Sky Entertainment worked together to create Star Trek D-A-C soon to be available on Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA). This is a shoot them up (shmup) with some cooperative and multiplayer features. Players are in control of spaceships, including the USS Enterprise, against the Romulan Empire. Up to 12 pilots can participate in this power struggle simultaneously.
