In BioShock 2, the player takes the role of the first Big Daddy to have existed in the underwater city of Rapture, who survived the events of the original game. This huge character wears a metallic diving suit and is equipped with a huge drill and a gun. These weapons overheat quickly if used excessively. To remedy this situation, the use of plasmids, these special powers introduced in BioShock, is still a key gameplay element. This time, there are several evolutionary branches for these powers, which can be used simultaneously with another weapon for the first time.
The goal is to capture the Little Sisters of Rapture, guarded by other Big Daddy. These characters may be adopted or be extracted of their mutagenic powers to improve its own performance. Beware though because a Big Sister roams somewhere, powerful and deadly. She kidnaps young girls and tries to transform them into creatures similar to her. Scary stuff. [April 21, 2009]
