Feature Rich - Fujifilm introduces the FinePix A150

Fujifilm introduces its new entry level ’A’ series compact camera - the FinePix A150 - affordable, easy-to-use and ideal for anyone attracted by high performance and simplicity. Featuring a wide range of features including: a 10 megapixel sensor, a total zoom of 17.1x - 3x optical zoom combined with a 5.7x digital zoom, high sensitivity of ISO 1600 for low-light situations, and Face Detection technology, the FinePix A150 continues the success of the hugely popular A-Series.

Easy to Use

When economic times are tough, many people appreciate a camera that is easy on the wallet, high on performance and user-friendly, but don’t want to be confused by too many functions and settings. Fujifilm’s NEW FinePix A150 provides simple functions, but highly-effective technology and great image quality, all in a slim and stylish body. The Fujifilm FinePix A150 is the ideal compact camera for families, grandparents and kids alike, or for anyone who is looking for their first digital camera.

Quality Features

This camera is extremely easy to use, but no compromises have been made on functionality. The A150 features 10 megapixels that allow users to make enlargements up to 16x20. It also features high sensitivity up to ISO 1600 so that even in challenging low-light conditions, such as cloudy and rainy weather, the image quality still shines through. Fujifilm’s famous Face Detection technology ensures that facial features remain sharp and beautifully exposed while automatically removing red-eyes. The FinePix A150 also includes Picture Stabilization technology to avoid blurry and fuzzy images and a high quality Fujinon 3x optical zoom lens. With an added 5.7x digital zoom, combined they offer an impressive and versatile 17.1x total zoom range designed to get you closer to any subject - no matter how far away you are. This new A Series camera comes with a large high-resolution 3" LCD Screen - making it easy to navigate through the camera menus and view your best photos in playback.

14 Scene Modes

Fujifilm includes 14 useful pre-programmed scene modes that automatically select the appropriate shutter speed, exposure and white balance to best suit the scene and guarantee the highest picture quality possible. In addition to pictures, you can also create your own movies with sound. The A150’s QVGA Movie Mode enables users to create their own 30 frames per second video clips in camera.

The Perfect Travel Camera

The FinePix A150 makes the perfect travel camera by using popular SD/SDHC Memory cards and ’AA’ batteries that are available in practically all hotels, airports and cruiseships around the world. You never have to worry about missing those vacation shots again with the FinePix A150.

The FinePix A150 is expected to be available in Canada April 2009 at a suggested retail price of CDN $149.99.
