Cognos Selects webMethods for Internal IT Operations

webMethods, Inc., a business integration and optimization software company, announced that Cognos, a leader in business intelligence and performance management solutions, has selected the webMethods Fabric enterprise platform for its IT business integration.

Cognos is leveraging webMethods’ flagship product suite to enable a service-oriented architecture (SOA) for its IT infrastructure, which is being used to minimize integration costs while speeding the delivery of new applications to the business. Cognos is also implementing webMethods’ industry-leading business activity monitoring (BAM) capabilities to better anticipate and more quickly fulfill customer requirements.

Cognos’ adoption of the webMethods’ platform was driven by its desire to become more customer-centric in its operations. Cognos is also deploying webMethods’ business activity monitoring to provide the company with increased visibility and control over its IT operations and business processes.
