Mirror’s Edge to have downloadable content

DICE, a studio owned by Electronic Arts, is responsible for the first-person platforming game Mirror’s Edge available on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 systems. Its main theme is free running, a sport practice where every element of the environment are transformed into a series of obstacles to run through. Appreciated by the community, it will soon have more maps to toy with.

The pack contains nine ’’time trial’’ maps with no police, weapons or any city. It’s more a series of tests to give something new to the best runners around. Like with the main levels, players will be able to submit their best times online to a leaderboard and try to beat their friends’ ghosts. Crowned best game of the Xbox 360 recently in Leipzig, Mirror’s Edge will make this downloadable content soon available on Xbox Live (800 Microsoft Points) and Playstation Network ($9.99). Fans on Sony’s console will even get one more map - for free. The PC version is scheduled for January 13 2009.
