TransGaming’s reseller program is targeted at value-added resellers (VARS) of Linux operating systems or Linux based applications who want to increase their market share and revenues by tapping into the electronic entertainment market. According to NPD, video gaming is among the top three highest used desktop applications. The availability of Cedega as part of a reseller’s portfolio of products will ensure their Linux offering is much more compelling and it will enable competitive differentiation and enhanced customer loyalty.
The deployment of the reseller program is designed to expand TransGaming’s reach into new markets where Linux is growing at rapid rates. "TransGaming’s online subscription model for access to Cedega has been a very effective strategy for TransGaming to-date", said Vikas Gupta, President and CEO of TransGaming. "We are now focused on broadening our customer base internationally through quality global distribution channels for Linux users. We view our resellers as an essential extension of our sales initiatives and look forward to working closely with our resellers towards deeper market traction for all parties".
TransGaming is pleased to launch the reseller program with a number of outstanding organizations who are already representing TransGaming and Cedega in a variety of territories. These organizations include Ixsoft and Linux Online Shop in Germany, Amazis.net (operating as Mandriva) in Poland, and Linspire in the United States. As part of the TransGaming reseller program, companies will have access to sales collateral, a dedicated customer service representative, priority technical support, product demonstrations, and much more.
Interested resellers can learn more and apply to join the reseller program by visiting TransGaming at www.transgaming.com/resellers. [June 6, 2006]
