New LCD Digital Photo Frames by Sony

Sony of Canada Ltd. presents two new digital photo frames that show off your photos with maximum impact. The 10.2-inch DPF-D100 and the 8-inch DPF-D80 models both feature an SVGA (800 x 600, 4:3 aspect ratio) LCD panel that displays photo-realistic images with superb contrast, detailing and natural colours.

Big on Style

Brighten up your home with bigger, bolder, and more colourful pictures — from family portraits to unforgettable holiday moments. Stylish and superbly easy to use, they’re a perfect gift idea to flatter contemporary or traditional interiors. Finished in lustrous, glossy black, both models will complement family rooms, bedrooms or offices.

Big on Features

Enjoying your photos has never been easier. Support for all popular media cards (MS, MS Duo, SD, CF and xD) makes it easy to transfer images directly from your digital camera. Alternatively, hook up your computer via USB and download photos from your PC’s hard drive. The frame’s internal 256MB memory offers storage space for up to 500 pictures. Large image files are automatically re-scaled for sparkling quality while maximizing album capacity. A smart orientation sensor in all models automatically ’flips’ images so they’re always displayed correctly, whether the frame has been positioned in portrait or landscape format.

Operation is simple, with no menus to fiddle with: just press the ’View’ button and select your preferred viewing mode. A choice of 10 slideshow modes shows off your photo collection just the way you want to. Stored images can be reviewed quickly in Index mode to help find your favourite photo. There’s also a clock/calendar mode that offers a useful alternative to displaying your photos. The handy wireless remote makes it easy to adjust settings and switch between slideshow, clock and calendar display modes.

The new DPF-D80 digital photo frames will be available from October 2008 for $199.99 and will be available online at sonystyle.ca, at Sony Style retail locations, and at authorized dealers across Canada. DPF-D100 digital photo frames will be available from November 2008 for $299.99, online at sonystyle.ca and at Sony Style retail locations in Canada.
