Last Remnant is making some progress

The team behind the Final Fantasy and SaGa series are working hard with their latest project : The Last Remnant. During the E3 Media & Business Summit, some new images were revealed. The new role-playing game from Square-Enix, The Last Remnant, is still in preparation for a worldwide release on the Xbox 360 as of November 20 2008. A Playstation 3 version should be made available later, without knowing when exactly. This production also uses the Unreal Engine 3, boosted by large scale battles with dozens of units on the screen at once.



Thus, the formula is geared towards dynamism, moreso than in Final Fantasy. However, the game still has the same quality from a graphics angle with this artistic finesse known from most Square-Enix titles. Hero Rush has to find back his kidnapped sister, Irina. By doing so, he exposes himself to the outside world, where battles are fought to gain powerful artefacts, the Remnants.
