Nintendo announced a new Animal Crossing

Between all the peripherals announcements, Nintendo unveils a sequel to its popular Animal Crossing series on the Wii. Not many new games have been announced during Nintendo’s conference at the E3 Media & Business Summit in Los Angeles. Gamers wanting to buy a familiar production will be pleased to learn the coming of Animal Crossing: City Folk on the Wii. Really close to the GameCube and Nintendo DS entries, this one won’t change the sucessful recipe of the others.

A village populated with animals will have to be taken care of through a variety of crazy characters. This goes by decorating its own house or doing a couple of jobs by following a calendar.

The most important functionnality in this Wii title is the possibility to play online with some friends. Thus, relaxing will be possible in groups, with such activies as fishing and vegetables collecting. The WiiSpeak micro will be used for voice communication. Otherwise, there’s still room for a USB keyboard and text chat. Also, the game can use Miis, these unique characters created for the console. Animal Crossing: City Folk will be available before the end of this year.
