Nintendo announces Wii Motion Plus

Nintendo is developping a remarquable accessory for its Wii Remote. The first details about it were revealed during the Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3 Media & Business Summit) which was taking place in Los Angeles from July 15-17 2008. Nintendo Wii’s official controller will welcome a brand new accessory in the coming months called Wii Motion Plus.

It must be attached at the bottom of the remote and should redefine movement precision as done by the player in a three dimensions space. Every little physical action will be reproduced on the screen with better fidelity and in real-time. Nintendo aims at an ideal response time of 1:1. With the announcement of Wii Sports 2 at this same conference, and the availability of the Wii Fit board on the market, the possibilities seem well in place to create unique gaming experiences.
