Star Ocean 4 announced on the Xbox 360

The next entry in popular series Star Ocean will be available ’’only’’ on the Xbox 360, and ’’maybe’’ the Playstation 3... later. Square-Enix, during the Xbox 360 RPG Premiere 2008, confirmed the appearance of role-playing game Star Ocean: Last Hope, the fourth entry in this series, as an exclusive Microsoft title.



This production, of which the development has been shared with the public since Square Enix Party 2007, was also planned on the Playstation 3. Regarding this issue, producer Yoshinori Yamagishi had the following to say : ’’We can say that it will be released first [on the Xbox 360]. Whether we’ll release it on the PS3 is undecided. We may release it, we may not.’’ Temporary exclusive? Impossible to tell that soon. The release date in Japan is set to 2009.
