Madworld slices the screen

Third-party games are still rare on the Wii ; here’s one that is both unique and disturbing. Enter the twisted world of Madworld. Veterans from Clover Studios, responsible for the artistic successes that are Okami and God Hand (while being commercial bombs) have reunited to create the PlatinumGames company. Allied with publisher SEGA, it has three projects in development, one of which being Madworld for the Wii, a game best described by being ultra-violent.

Truth be said, main character’s Jack has a chainsaw for an arm, so that was expected! Maybe the developers are fans of Evil Dead. The result is some stylish action in black, white and blood, which is an unique mix similar to Killer 7 or, more recently, No More Heroes. Release date is set to somewhere in 2009.
