Retrosodes are a series of mobile video episodes up to three minutes long that are based on iconic retro content updated for a new mobile audience and can be downloaded via carrier portals or Player X’s mobile TV channels, geekTV and Zapper TV.
Player X will produce, publish and co-distribute the Retrosodes and games through its distribution deals with more than 140 global carriers giving it a potential reach of over 1.8 billion people.

The news follows Player X’s 2008 deal as the exclusive aggregator for all of Virgin Mobile UK’s mobile games and video content and follows a successful 2007 when the company was announced as the UK’s fourth-fastest growing VC-backed company in the UK. [May 8, 2008]
