Software revenues were euro 528 million for the first quarter of 2006 (2005: euro 434 million), representing an increase of 22% compared to the same period in 2005. At constant currencies, software revenues increased 14%.
Total revenues for the first quarter of 2006 were euro 2.04 billion (2005: euro 1.73 billion), which was an increase of 18% compared to the first quarter of 2005. At constant currencies(1), total revenues increased 13%.
Software revenues in the Americas region increased 47% (30% at constant currencies) to euro 228 million for the first quarter of 2006. In the U.S., software revenues rose 25% to euro 165 million (2005: euro 131 million). At constant currencies(1), software revenues in the U.S increased 15%.
The Company expects full-year 2006 product revenues to increase in a range of 13% - 15% compared to 2005. This growth rate is based on the Company’s expectation for full-year 2006 software revenue growth in a range of 15% - 17% compared to 2005.
