WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX:WEW), a provider of location-based and fleet Telematics services, has delivered more than 1,300 Locators, feature-rich GPS tracking devices, to one of Canada’s largest communications providers. The Locators with a comprehensive vehicle diagnostic accessory are to be installed across the customer’s fleet. In addition to the Locators, the customer will equip their larger vehicles with Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) 2000e devices for automated driver log submission.

The Locator equipped with an On Board Diagnostics Generation II (OBDII) Gateway provides the customer with a powerful yet user-friendly solution for real-time diagnostic information. With timely insight into vehicle performance information and early warning of malfunctions, the customer’s fleet managers will be able to easily track and manage their mobile assets and be more proactive in resolving issues before they become costly repair bills.

A part of the fleet will also be equipped with MDT2000e devices which enable the customer to save time and reduce operating expenses through automated driver log processing and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance. With automated driver log processing, the company will be better able to adhere to all the rules associated with the Canadian Hours of Service regulation.
