Street Fighter IV illustrated

October 17, 2007: Capcom’s japanese division unveils the fourth entry in the successful series Street Fighter. It is with a teaser where Ryu and Ken throw punches in a calligraphy-like style that the company managed to build hype with its numerous fans, even without actual gameplay.

Since then, this production helmed by Yoshinori Ono has found its graphical style with a mix between 3D, cel-shading and 2D to create an effect called 2.5 D. The players will be able to play online without the customisation of Tekken or Virtua Fighter, while counting on a solid 60 fps display. Many of the Street Fighter veterans will be available, like Akuma, Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and Dhalsim to name a few. No release date has been confirmed, nor a platform except arcades.
