Panasonic and its wonderful 150 inches plasma screen

At the time of Consuming Electronics Show (CES) 2008, japanese electronics giant Panasonic raised the curtain on one of its most recent addition, a plasma screen with gigantic dimensions. Imagine the size of curently available screen in specialized stores and multiplicate this number by two. The result does not even come close to Panasonic’s colossus, a 150 inches plasma screen, as shown for the first time at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, United States.

With a 2160 pixels by 4096 pixels display, the theater sensation just got real. Furthermore, an interactive UI built in the screen allows it to be transformed as a decorative element on a wall with various wallpapers, Windows or even a screensaver, including the classic fireplace which is synonym with cordial. The dinosaur-sized gadget also allows to receive video calls and use some applications.

Thus, the latest baby in Panasonic’s family takes the place of the former champion, a screen measuring a mere 103 inches. No price has been disclosed, but let’s guarantee it would smash the majority of healthy budgets. [Sources Gizimodo/Panasonic].
