Their discussions around the most effective ways to monetize digital media set the tone for subsequent presentations and emphasized a radical restructuring of the advertising model as we know it.
Other highlights included
“outside-the-traditional-media-box” presentations by Attik (William Travis), GoTV Networks (Daniel Tibbetts), Heavy.com (David Carson), Organic (Chad Stoller), Treehugger (Lloyd Alter) and VICE (Jacob Gavin).
nextMEDIA - Monetizing Digital Media was also the platform for a major announcement by Pierre Karl Péladeau, President & CEO of Quebecor Inc., whose new venture, Canoe.TV, gives users access to content from a number of Canadian creators and publishers.
