MOTORAZR2: Faster, Smarter and Sleeker

Motorola Inc. and Rogers Wireless announced the Canadian availability of the MOTORAZR2 V9 mobile phone. The original MOTORAZR became the iconic mobile phone of a generation and redefined the mobile phone market. With the debut of MOTORAZR2, Motorola introduces a handset that is thinner, faster and stronger, delivering the sharpest mobile experience possible.

MOTORAZR2 boasts a series of advanced new features that operate on Rogers Wireless’ High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) network - the fastest and most advanced wireless network in Canada - allowing customers to access innovative services like video calling, satellite radio, mobile television, video streaming and high-speed web browsing.

MOTORAZR2 V9 features 2GB of expandable memory for maximum multimedia enjoyment, a large internal screen that’s twice the resolution of the original MOTORAZR for full HTML browsing, and a beautiful external screen and music buttons that enable easy viewing and enjoyment of music without having to open the flip. MOTORAZR2 is easy-to-use multimedia at its best.

MOTORAZR2 features next generation Motorola technologies such as CrystalTalk automatic audio adjustment technology that makes voices more clear, even in noisy environments, and Motorola’s breakthrough "haptics" technology, which provides users with vibrating feedback in response to their finger taps.

MOTORAZR2 also supports the most popular music formats and media services, and, with built-in stereo Bluetooth wireless technology, users can enjoy a wire-free music experience when paired with the compatible lightweight ROKR S9 Bluetooth stereo headphones.

MOTORAZR2 Standout Features

-  Thin is (still) in — Motorola made the MOTORAZR2 profile even sharper, shaving two millimeters from the original MOTORAZR.
-  Materials matter — To further beautify this sought-after icon, Motorola incorporated a seamless casing, a soft touch back and a stunning vacuum metal front finish.
-  Strong as steel — At the core of MOTORAZR2 is a stainless steel internal frame to help provide strength and durability.
-  Not even scratching the surface — The huge exterior lens is made with chemically hardened glass to be scratch resistant.
-  An open and shut case — Motorola tested the cast aluminum hinge in more than 100,000 lab tests to help ensure that every time a customer flips open the device, it will work perfectly.
-  Speed thrills — With the new ARM 11 processor, processing speed is 10 times faster than the original MOTORAZR and with high-speed USB 2.0 it only takes 2-3 seconds to transfer a song.
-  Play on — With up to 2GB of optional expandable memory, the new MOTORAZR rocks with stereo Bluetooth wireless technology and enough storage for approximately 2,500 songs.
-  Manage with ease — Microsoft(R) Windows Media Player 11 compatibility helps consumers easily purchase, synchronize and transfer their favourite music to their MOTORAZR2 in only a few minutes. Or, using the Rogers MusicStore, tracks can be downloaded over the air at near-broadband-like wireless data speeds.
-  Just browsing — The web-browsing experience, including a full HTML browser, in the new MOTORAZR2, takes advantage of its stellar internal display and high-speed wireless data connections for faster, bigger and richer surfing than the original MOTORAZR. Built-in email functionality gives easy, PC-like access to both personal and corporate email accounts.
-  Picture this — Enjoy great photos on the handset’s 2.0 megapixel camera.
-  Watch this, real-time — A new real-time point-to-point video feature allows another wireless customer to "See What I See" while a voice call is in progress.

Availability and Pricing

The MOTORAZR2 V9 will be available for $199.99 on a 3 year activation with Rogers Vision exclusively through Rogers Wireless retail locations at launch or via www.rogers.com. For additional information, please visit www.hellomoto.com.
