Palm Canada and TELUS Announce Exclusive Canadian Availability of Treo 755p Smartphone

Evolving the Treo family to keep mobile professionals connected, productive, and entertained, Palm Canada and TELUS announced the exclusive availability of the Palm Treo 755p smartphone in Canada. The CDMA Treo 755p offers TELUS Mobile Email, providing consumer and business clients with automatic updates to their email, calendar, contacts and task information; Google Maps for mobile; as well as the latest Treo design with integrated antenna, slimmer form factor and mini-SD slot.

The Treo 755p brings customers quick, wireless access to web, email, business and multimedia applications, so consumers and professionals can stay connected while on the go.

As the newest member in the Treo lineup, the Treo 755p smartphone runs the latest Palm OS software and differentiates itself from others in the Treo family by offering the following features and additional enhancements.

TELUS Mobile Email - Secure Automatic Updates to Email

With TELUS Mobile Email, consumers and professionals can stay connected while on the go with secure access to email, calendar, contacts, and task information. Additional capabilities within TELUS Mobile Email enable clients to download and view attachments. TELUS mobile email is available for consumers and mobile professionals, ranging from small-business users to larger corporations and is fully compatible with ISP mail servers, Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Domino.

First Treo in Canada Integrating Google Maps for Mobile

Also new to the Treo 755p is the integration of Google Maps service for mobile. With Google Maps built into the ROM, right out of the box, Treo 755p users can get convenient, detailed driving directions; perform local searches; save favourite locations and routes; and get a map for addresses in their Contacts list.

-  Superior phone functionality, including one-touch speakerphone and conference calling, the ability to ignore a call with text messaging and the option to use the colour touch-screen dial pad;
