Vonage Canada, a provider of home phone service that leverages the power of the Internet and HP (Canada) Co. have partnered to provide more Canadians with a cost effective alternative to traditional home phone service. Vonage will be pre-integrated into all HP Pavilion and Compaq Presario desktop, notebook and tablet PCs. HP customers simply click on a preloaded Vonage desktop icon to easily register for the Vonage phone service and begin saving up to $500 a year on their residential home phone service.

Customers who sign up with Vonage before June 30 will receive two free months of phone service and become eligible to win a new HP Pavilion tx1000us series Entertainment Notebook tablet PC. The HP Pavilion tx1000 series Entertainment Notebook PC, with its convertible display, provides the ideal convergence of entertainment and productivity with the latest mobile computing technologies. Vonage is promoting this contest via online banner ads, email campaigns, newspaper ads, and through all of its affiliate channels.

To get started using Vonage, all that’s needed is a high speed Internet connection and a Vonage phone adapter, roughly the size of a deck of cards. Consumers simply connect their phone adapter to any touch tone telephone and high-speed Internet connection. Because the phone number resides with the phone adapter, the user can take their local home phone service with them almost anywhere in the world they move or travel, as long as they have access to a high-speed connection.
