BlueCat Networks and Infoblox Announce Settlement of Litigation

BlueCat Networks and Infoblox Inc. announced that the two companies have reached an agreement to settle all outstanding litigation between them. Under the terms of the agreement, the companies will dismiss their pending patent and other litigation.

“We are happy to have resolved our differences with Infoblox,” said Michael Hyatt, co-founder and CEO of BlueCat Networks. “Bringing this matter to a resolution, with a long-term mutual stand-still agreement and mutual covenant not to sue, allows each of us to continue to compete in the marketplace rather than the courtroom. We believe this agreement is in the best interests of both of our organizations. Healthy competition fuels innovation, which benefits everyone in the IP Address Management space.”

“We are pleased to have resolved this matter,” said Robert Thomas, President and CEO of Infoblox. “We will continue to focus our attention on the development of innovative products and services to meet the needs of our customers.”

Additional details of the settlement were not disclosed.
