Ludia and Universal Pictures Announce Agreement to Create a Multi-Platform “Jurassic Park” Social Game

Interactive entertainment company Ludia Inc. and Universal Studios Licensing LLLP announced an agreement to create a social game based on the ground breaking film franchise “Jurassic Park.” The worldwide licensing and distribution agreement will result in the launch of the game across mobile platforms and social networks.

“This exciting license is our gateway to the movie industry and reinforces our strategy of turning high-profile brands into successful interactive entertainment experiences.” “We are excited to have the opportunity to create a game that will allow fans of the film franchise to experience the thrills of managing their very own Jurassic Park,” said Alex Thabet, Founder and CEO of Ludia Inc. “This exciting license is our gateway to the movie industry and reinforces our strategy of turning high-profile brands into successful interactive entertainment experiences.”

The game will provide a thrilling interactive experience where players can build, customize and grow their own Jurassic Park on the mysterious Isla Nublar. As in the film franchise, players will nurture and grow various dinosaur species through the discovery of amber pieces filled with dinosaur DNA. Players will also utilize their network of friends to attract tourists and prevent disasters from happening in their park.

The first Jurassic Park game is scheduled for release in early 2012 on mobile platforms.
