Mad Catz Announces Shipping of the Detonator Xbox 360 Headset

Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. (AMEX/TSX: MCZ) announced the shipping of the Detonator Stereo Headset, the world’s first official co-branded gaming headset designed for use with the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. In addition, the Detonator is compatible with a wide range of MP3 players, cell phones and audio devices.

“We are excited to be shipping the first product in our highly anticipated co-branded headset range.” said Darren Richardson, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. “Releasing a co-branded range of headsets has enabled us to offer an enticing feature set and quality audio which we are certain will appeal to the passionate gamer this holiday season.”

The Detonator Stereo Headset includes 50mm Neodymium Drivers, Detachable Boom Mic and Selectable Voice Monitoring and is expected to be joined by additional products in the range in time for the 2011 holiday season.
