Broadband Wireless Network Speeds Across California

More customers in California can now access the latest high-speed business and entertainment services on their wireless phones, laptop computers, and other wireless devices thanks to Verizon Wireless. The company continues to expand its Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) network in additional markets in California and across the country enabling both BroadbandAccess Internet service and V CAST Music and video services.

"Verizon Wireless is committed to expanding our high-speed data network across the nation and is proud to announce the launch in California’s Central Valley," said Rich Garwood, Northern California/Nevada regional president for Verizon Wireless. "This region continues to experience a high rate of growth as so many people make their homes in the area while commuting to jobs in Sacramento, the Bay Area and beyond. Now, residents and visitors in these communities can experience the true mobility of high-speed wireless data."

In California, Verizon Wireless’ EV-DO network is available in the following areas:

Northern California
* San Francisco Bay Area (including all nine counties)
* Sacramento (and the surrounding area)
* Central Valley (Stockton, Modesto and Bakersfield)

Southern California
* Los Angeles County
* Orange County
* Riverside County
* San Bernardino County
* San Diego County
