Québec Representation Shines for CMNA 2010 Nominations

The Canadian New Media Awards (CNMAs) is thrilled to have received a record breaking number of entrants from across Canada for the 2010 awards, and out of over 60 finalists, 25% represent Francophone and Quebecois companies and talent. Nominees include individuals native to the province, companies with Québec-based offices and staff, and media featuring French language content.

The Canadian New Media Awards are a part of nextMEDIA Toronto, Canada’s leading forum for the convergence of all forms of digital media, taking place November 29 to 30, 2010 at the Design Exchange in Toronto. The CNMA gala ceremony will be held December 1, 2010 on the Trading Floor of the Design Exchange.

“Québec and our francophone neighbours have featured prominently in this year’s nominations,” says Jory Groberman, Executive Director of nextMEDIA. “The province is a hotbed for fresh talent and creative enterprise, and their achievements and innovation continue to grow each year.” The CNMAs are the country’s only nationwide competition that celebrates the accomplishments of Canada’s most successful digital media companies.
