Telestream, a provider of digital media tools and workflow solutions, has completed the acquisition of Anystream, a provider of enterprise-class video production and management solutions. Combining the experience, strength and technologies of both companies propels Telestream to the dominant position in the video transcoding market and significantly enhances Telestream’s ability to provide a greater range of enterprise-class live and on-demand workflow applications.

Together, Telestream, with its deep video transcoding, workflow design and automation expertise and Anystream, with its large-scale media production management capabilities, are able to address broader and deeper IT-based production workflows.

Anystream’s products, services, and customer base will be incorporated into Telestream to provide media and entertainment organizations with a significant wealth of complementary and synergistic capabilities, increased market presence, and expanded customer services. The acquisition adds a world-class engineering and support team, an East Coast office and a global key account sales team to Telestream’s already profitable and financially stable worldwide business.

Through this acquisition, the combined Telestream customers will benefit from:

Telestream will continue to sell Agility and Avalon products at the current prices. The company will also continue to provide customer service and support for all Anystream customers. Agility 2G is an enterprise-class video production and management solution optimized for scalability and reliability. Avalon expands on Agility’s capabilities by providing a metadata ingest, creation and packaging solution to automate the publishing of video to multiple outlets and devices.

With the completion of the acquisition, the Anystream team will be integrated into Telestream with key members of Anystream’s management team maintaining leadership roles in the company. The addition of Anystream’s seasoned team of professionals grows a dedicated, world-class group within the Telestream family.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed, as both companies are closely held private companies.
