Liquid Image Presesnts Freestyle Series Video Camera Swim Goggle at the CEA Line Show

The Liquid Image Freestyle Series is a swim goggle with an integrated digital camera. The goggle contains a 62 degree (full field of view) lens to capture the fun and action while swimming and playing in water to a depth of 15ft. The hands free unit has a 1.3 MP (1280 x 960) camera mode and a video mode that records VGA video (640x480) at a rate up to 30 frames per second with audio. A model will be on display at the CEA Line Show in NYC June 22nd-23rd.

The Freestyle Series Video Camera Swim Goggle is easy to operate. There is a button for On/Off/Mode and another button for the shutter. To record a photo or a video, simply turn on the camera, choose the mode, then press the shutter button. Indicator LED lights inside the goggle signal the mode to the user. The main buttons are positioned along the upper right side of the frame. A third button sits on the lower right side to activate a high power LED flashlight. The LED flashlight adds illumination underwater when required.

The Camera operates on an internal rechargeable Lithium Battery. The battery performance for video is approximately 1:30 hrs of video. The internal memory has 2GB and will to record approximately 3,000 still images or 45 minutes of video. A High Speed USB/Recharger cable is provided to transfer files to a computer and to recharge the battery.

The Freestyle Series Video Camera Swim Goggle model 330 is estimated to ship in July 2010. This new model follows the concept of the original Liquid Image Underwater Digital Camera Mask by creating an easier way to record photos and videos. The concept of integrating the camera into the sports equipment allows the user to travel with fewer items and to keep their hands free while performing sports activities. The integrated camera records a view similar to what is seen, allowing the user to share their experience with other people, and to enjoy their activities to a greater extent because they concentrate less on holding and operating the camera.

The Freestyle Series Video Camera Swim Goggle model number 330 has an estimated US price of $99.
